Engineering Main Engine Room The main engine room of the Voyager Class is the largest ever seen aboard a Federation vessel due to the multiple drive systems installed on the ship. The new engine room spans 4 decks, with the 2 middle decks, mainly the Federation section, the largesr portion of the room. The top floor is mainly Borg technology and the location of the Transwarp core. The sub-level is the location of the Sernaix Slipstream core and primarily Sernaix design, with Federation control interfaces. Thrusters The thrusters are designed to give the ship additional maneuverability and the ability to navigate in confining areas such as spacedock more easily. The Voyager Class is equipped with 4 thruster quads. These thrusters are located on the sides of the saucer section and are colored light brown. Transwarp The Voyager Class is equipped with a Borg Transwarp drive. The drive system is located on the top of the battlesection with the transwarp core in the upper decks of the engine room. Quantum Slipstream Drive The Voyager Class has been equipped with a new prototype Federation built Sernaix Slipstream Drive. However its power consumption is higher due to the larger mass of the Federation vessel. The slipstream generator is on the lower decks of the engine room. Speed: 900 LY/hour for 24 hours Hyper-Impulse Propulsion System The Voyager Class is equipped with one of the most sophisticated impulse designs. The new impulse drive, like that of the Sovreign Class, makes the vessel highly maneuverable, equalling that of a vessel one quarter its size. The impulse engines are located on the rear of the saucer section, and on the engine pylons of the battle section. They glow red when online. IPS
fuel: Slush Cryogenic Deuterium Main Warp The Voyager Class is currently the fastest ship in Starfleet. Her engines are designed to eliminate subspace distortion effects common on older starships. These new engines combine the technologies of both the Intrepid and Sovereign Class engines, thus making them more effective than the Sovereign while using the same reactor. Cruising Speed: warp 9.5 Saucer Warp The Voyager Class saucer section is equipped with a prototype horizontal warp core, designed to use minimal hight.
