Bridge Commander - VVSP Mods - General Read Me ---------------------------------------------- Each ship is released as a stand-alone, therefore, some of them may contain the same files (ie: sounds, sound entrys, etc). If changes are made to some sounds or other files, they will be placed on the ships further down the list first, before being updated to the others. In other words, if you download a ship from the bottom of the list and it asks for overwrites when your installing it, allow the overwrites without hesitation, but if the ship is earlier in the list than one you previously downloaded, you should be cautious, and generally not allow the overwrite, as chances are it will be overwriting a new file with an older one. All specs are based on the data at the Daystrom Institute Technical Library (http://www.ditl.org) and are implemented using the default BC galaxy as a basis, much like the ditl site. The ships are all accurately balanced to each other (unless otherwise stated) but are NOT balanced to the default BC ships. All ship meshes, textures and hardpoint files (unless otherwise stated in the ships Read_Me file) were made by me, Michael "Reptile" Bozec. Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Unzip files into a temp directory 2. Cut and paste files into the Bridge commander root folder. All the appropriate files will be placed for you. (I hope, lol) 3. Make sure you edit the "LoadTacticalSounds.py" file with the entrys I provided in "LoadTacticalSounds_entrys.txt" with each ship or the sounds wont work. DO NOT place the same entry in more than once, it increases the file for nothing. If two ships have the exact same entry, only one is needed.
